My 20-minute daily routine: focus on MSA or Egyptian dialect?

Posted by u/Busyprofessional_666 / May 30, 2026

I’m a busy professional with only 20 minutes a day to spare. I’ve been trying to learn Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) for reading, but I feel like I'm not learning anything useful for daily life in Cairo, where I'll be visiting in a few months. Should I split my time between the two, or is it better to commit fully to the Egyptian dialect to maximize the utility of my short study sessions?
