How do I stop 'over-feminizing' my verbs when talking to my Israeli cousins?

Posted by u/heritagelearnertry_481 / May 30, 2026

I grew up hearing Hebrew here and there, but now that I'm trying to actually speak it with my family, I realize I’m constantly mixing up gendered verb endings, especially when I get nervous. My aunt keeps correcting me, but it makes me feel like a child. Is there a way to train my brain to default to the correct gender based on the subject without pausing to think about it for five seconds first?
