Can't get past the listening plateau with Hungarian movies

Posted by u/Immersionlearner_686 / May 30, 2026

I've reached a stage where I can understand the subtitles in Hungarian films, but as soon as I turn them off, I feel like I'm hearing a wall of sound. The rapid-fire delivery and the way words seem to fuse together make it impossible to pick out the case suffixes I’ve spent months learning. What is the best way to transition from 'subtitle-aided' listening to actually following native-speed dialogue?
